i really love the fact that there was a lot of speculation on where she was coming from. REASONING? ⏤ another album that 2016 really gave us and i'm appreciative. she set the precedent.įAVORITE TRACKS? ⏤ haunted, blow, rocket, mine (featuring my man), xo, blue, superpower (featuring my ghosting favorite), flawless (remix), and 7/11 (i know they're both on the platinum edition but still). what a queen.Īlso, this was a visual album. she enlisted a lot of her friends to assist her in the making of the project, and i am so happy that it reached the heights she wanted it to reach.

i appreciate the behind the scenes, the fact that she really wanted this project to be everything and then some. this was in rotation whenever i walked to class, along with channel orange & nothing was the same. i was halfway through my freshman year and i can tell you right now. i was in the damn bed, scrolling through instagram & twitter. the world literally stopped when this dropped. i stopped the world"? she was one hundred percent right. REASONING? ⏤ remember when she said in feeling myself, "know where you was when that digital popped.

even the "controversial" déjà vu ⏤ a song that i will forever & always adore because of my name and because of the production? the lyricism?īesides, who can forget when she took over 106&park for her birthday and the album release? # iconic.įAVORITE TRACKS? ⏤ déjà vu (obviously ), green light, kitty kat, world wide woman, ring the alarm, upgrade u, and get me bodied. the photoshoot for the album was on whole 'nother level too. i think this album holds a lot of sentimental value for me because it was the first album that i truly fell in love with, knew the words of, and the videos were absolutely fantastic. this was her sophomore effort, meaning that my good sis had a lot to gain and a lot to lose when this dropped. no matter how much the choir teacher told me otherwise ). i used to perform, sing (and i can't sing. i think this was the first album i ever bought/asked someone to buy for me and i remember playing it in the car, in the house, at my great-aunt's house whenever i went over to her house for the weekend. REASONING? ⏤ this album impacted my 8 years of life. To continue publishing, please remove it or upload a different image. Oops! This image does not follow our content guidelines. please don't have me looking like coolio's long distant cousin, foolio, out here. I ain't good at math so if i used the wrong symbol, lemme know. i'm not gonna back down from my stance aksksksk. if you disagree with me, i'd love to hear why but 9 times outta 10. and my sentiments on why they're ranked in their respective category ( at a later time because i'm barely typing right ). So i'm gonna give you guys my personal ranking of her studio albums. it's funny to think that i would be the one to get into about music & stuff but it wouldn't be me if i didn't set it straight. like, this one friend & i get into it about destiny's child (3 & 4 ) and miss knowles-carter a lot. His songs have been heard in shows on ABC, CBS, HBO, Fox, NBC, and Showtime. What's up again, y'all? i know i said i would give y'all a little introduction to who i am but i'm a little sangria tipsy & got into a debate with some folks 'bout the queen herself & her discography (studio albums only ).
